Tiziano Mazzilli from Stylelikeu.com from Stylelikeu on Vimeo.

Occupation: renaissance man….he’s done and is doing it all

Tiziano has an endless fascination with discovering what’s underneath everything in culture, from fashion to music to literature to art. He is, he claims, not of a country, but of the world, and his interests and accomplishments resonate with his all-encompassing passion for life everywhere. As a result, when one is trying to capture him visually and literally, as I am trying to do on this site, it is impossible to fully accomplish, because he is immeasurable. Tiziano is inspired by everything and it reflects in everything that he does from his oversized “diamond” ring bracelet, an engagement gift to himself, to the Native American inspired Hermes scarves that he made into a shirt. It made sense to me that only he could be behind the world famous, each one of a kind, line of clothes from London called Voyage. Veteran Fashion Designer, DJ and Artist, it impossible to label or confine him, he is living art. When I first met him in his home, I was immediately swept in by his huge heart and wildly eclectic tastes. You cannot help but want to be enveloped.

Milton Puzy from Stylelikeu.com from Stylelikeu on Vimeo.

Occupation: actor

Every once in a while you come across someone whose style is so clean and mannerisms are so refined that you realize the power of the word gentleman, in the most classic sense of the word. When I came to shoot Milton, I was struck by how charming, courteous, and low-key he was. He channels the mystery and magnetism of his idols Paul Newman, Marlon Brando, and James Dean. Like them, he embodies the idea that there is an art to dressing simply and having an impact. Milton understands which jacket has the perfect lines without needing to be overstated, and the finishing touch of the time-honored lace-up shoe. It’s refreshing to be reminded that less can be more.

Edmundo and Felicia Stylelikeu.com from Stylelikeu on Vimeo.

Felicia escaped the Nazis at 10 years old, fled to Cuba, fell in love with Edmundo at 16, and left for NYC at the age of 17 with her family. Edmundo left Cuba after the revolution in 1979, relocated to Manhattan, and 45 years later, after other marriages, they finally consummated their relationship and have been together ever since. She has written an autobiographical novel, “Passing Through Havana”, that deals with escape from Nazi Europe to landing in sunny Havana, and discusses blooming adolescence under the Batista dictatorship and her eventual move to New York. Edmundo is the author of one of Cuba’s most famous books, “Memories of Underdevelopment,” that was made into a film and was recently chosen by critics to be the most important Ibero-American film of all time.
